Call For Abstracts
Don't miss the opportunity to present at AAPG Asia Pacific Region's second Geosciences Technology Workshop, re-branded as a technical symposium to better focus on exploring the activity surrounding mature basins.
Hidden Potential in Mature Basins: Play Analogs and Best Practices
13- 14 September 2017 | Bandung, Indonesia
As we all know, the industry tends to stop evaluating mature basins once a determination is made that the significant hydrocarbon accumulation is gone. But what if those basins have not been thoroughly evaluated? We encourage participants to think beyond traditional methods and integrate existing data with that possible by applying cutting edge technology.
Your abstract should complement the overall goal of this symposium, which aims to improve exploration techniques and approaches where magmatic activity may have complicated petroleum systems analysis.
Review the abstract instructions prior to submitting to ensure you are meeting all necessary requirements.
Abstract Instructions
There will be keynote presentations, a series of selected presentations consistent with the session theme and possibly an interactive panel discussion. Poster displays may be available to provide further material for discussion.

Who should attend?
Geoscientists who are working in mature basins and near-field exploration are welcome to this meeting to learn what other people do. Talk about your experiences – and then learn from others who have successfully faced the same challenges. Engineers who are working on well design and reservoirs also will benefit from the technical sharing session. It is an opportunity to test ideas and gain knowledge from others.
