The team from the University of Texas at Austin won the 2011 Imperial Barrel Award, conducted at the AAPG Annual Convention and Exhibition. Capturing second place was the team from the University of Southampton, representing AAPG's European Region, and third place went to the team from Sultan Qaboos University, representing the Middle East Region.
