AAPG student chapter Banaras Hindu University organised the annual programme which was a three-day geology fiesta from 19th February to 21st February 2019. The event was a great success as we had maximum participation from the students and received positive feedback from everyone. The annual programme consisted of intellectual seminars and workshops by staff of Reliance.

AAPG and EAGE are proud to jointly present the first Geosciences conference in Papua New Guinea in two decades. Endorsed by Department of Energy, PNG and supported by the PNG Chamber of Mines & SEAPEX, the conference will review the petroleum geology of Papua New Guinea in its tectonic setting as host to petroliferous marginal Phanerozoic basins on the northeast margin of the Australian continent.

From 27-28 September 2018, 126 delegates attended a 2-day GTW in Bangkok; AAPG Asia Pacific Region's 2nd successful event held in the Thai city. With the theme 'Back to the Future - the Past and Future of Oil and Gas Production in the Asia Pacific Region', the event saw 22 Oral and 9 poster presentations. Khun Waranon Laprabang, Acting Executive Vice President, Production Asset Group, PTTEP Thailand, gave a keynote address on 'Optimistic Look on Mature-field Development in a Complex Geological Environment of Thailand'. With strong sponsorship support from PTTEP, Chevron, Mubadala, MOECO and Ophir, as well as logistics support from CCOP, this event saw much technical exchange and networking amongst the delegates.

AAPG Asia Pacific will present our third learning event in Indonesia; after Bali and Bandung. This Geosciences Technology Workshop (GTW) will be held from 7-8 August 2019 in Bogor, Greater Jakarta. The theme is 'The Art of Hydrocarbon Prediction: Managing Uncertainties' and the committee is very enthusiastic about the program. In September, some members of the committee met with PT Pertamina,to seek their support for this event.
