The University of Adelaide AAPG student chapter conducted its annual field trip to the Otway Basin and Limestone coast in South Australia and Victoria.
Ms. Randi S. Martinsen, President of American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), visited to the Department of Geology of University of Delhi on 15th January 2015. Her visit was met by excitement and overwhelming happiness from the students of the department.

We are pleased to announce the launch of the annual AAPG Imperial Barrel Award (IBA) and all Asia Pacific geoscience universities are invited to participate in the 2015 Asia Pacific virtual semifinals.
Building upon AAPG’s successful inaugural event in Myanmar 14-15 August 2014, held jointly with AAPG affiliated society the Myanmar Geosciences Society (MGS), AAPG has signed an MOU with sister society EAGE and MGS for the joint organization of the first Myanmar Geosciences Conference. The event is scheduled to take place 19-20 November, 2015 in Yangon, Myanmar.

Congratulations to Peter Baillie, President of the AAPG Asia Pacific Region, who received an award at the 2014 AAPG Annual Conference and Exhibition in Houston for his strong support to the region during his tenure. Presenting the award to Peter is Region Treasurer Mick McWalter.
On the 25th to 28th of March 2014, AAPG Student Chapters from three universities namely,Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Universiti of Malaya, and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia were sponsored by Talisman Energy to volunteer themselves as student helpers in the Offshore Technology Conference Asia 2014.
