Congratulations to Peter Baillie, President of the AAPG Asia Pacific Region, who received an award at the 2014 AAPG Annual Conference and Exhibition in Houston for his strong support to the region during his tenure. Presenting the award to Peter is Region Treasurer Mick McWalter.
Peter was elected as Asia Pacific Region President, succeeding Joseph Lambiase in 2011. During his time, the region has had several notable achievements including successfully hosting the AAPG International Conference & Exhibition in Singapore in 2012, presenting several GTWs, starting our Newsletter, establishing Young Professional chapters, offering Lunch and Learn sessions, growing the number of student chapters in the region and increasing our membership especially our volunteer numbers. The Region thanks Peter for his contributions. It was a huge pleasure working with you.
