Mr. Taufik Manan, the Senior Geophysicist of Medco Energi Global Pte. Ltd, has given short course “Exploration Seismic” for University of Brawijaya AAPG Student Chapter in 29-31 2008.
On November 28– 30, 2008 at Jatinangor Hotel, Jatinangor, West Java, 4th SEAPEX-AAPG Student Leadership Conference had been successfully conducted with theme “The Role of Geoscience Students to Reach Top Petroleum Career with Strong Leadership and Well Knowledge of Geoscience”.
Geovani C Kaeng – the Student Chapter Affairs Coordinator of AAPG Asia Pacific Region – visited Diponegoro University (UNDIP) Indonesia for Visiting Geoscientist Program (VGP) in May 19 2008. He talked about “How Does AAPG Student Chapter Contribute to Your Future Career In Industry” and “Introduction to G&G Interpretation Technology in Oil and Gas Exploration and Production”.
Congratulation to The University of Indonesia (UI) for winning the AAPG Imperial Barrel Award (IBA) Competition for Asia Pacific Region and is therefore invited to come to AAPG Annual Conference in SAN ANTONIO on April 17-19 for the final process competing with other winning teams from Europe, America, and Africa.
