Dr. Tobi Kosanke is a Sedimentary Petrologist/Reservoir Quality Specialist with Marathon Oil Company. Tobi previously worked at Shell International Exploration and Production where she held the position of Specialist Geologist. Prior to this Tobi held positions with Shell Oil Company, ExxonMobil Upstream Research, ExxonMobil Exploration, and ExxonMobil Development companies. Tobi has a Doctorate in Geology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Geology from Florida International University. Tobi has given numerous presentations and professional papers on the topics of provenance, diagenesis, and reservoir quality in petroleum exploration. Tobi is currently helping a variety of teams at Marathon Oil Company understand the geologic controls on rock properties.
