Dr. Wasiu Odufisan (CPG) has over Twenty (20) years’ professional experience with ExxonMobil which began in July 1994. He has had variety of assignments across Production and Development functions – Integrated Seismic Interpretations, Sequence Stratigraphic Mapping and Correlation, Subsurface Mapping and Reservoir Characterization, Assessments, Reservoir Surveillance and Monitoring, Geoscience Coordination and Support of Assets Operated By Other Companies both in Nigeria and US. He is currently the Upstream Nigeria Geoscience Recruiter and Early Career Coordinator for ExxonMobil providing mentoring, training, coaching on geosciences, personal effectiveness training, project management, and advisor to Early Career Geoscientists to enhance their geosciences technical capabilities. He has made significant contributions to technical associations, significantly are: presentations at the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE) Conferences (2000; 2001; 2005), Nigeria. The 2005 papers won the best 1st and best 3rd papers award; posters presentation at the American Association of Petroleum Geologist (AAPG), Brazil, 1998. He was chairman of the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE)‐University Assistance Program (UAP) from 2010 to 2012 developing Nigeria’s geosciences education. He has attended over 21 professional development training/workshops and has given over 41 public lectures to support schools and communities in Nigeria.
