A discussion of Silurian stratigraphical classification is followed by detailed comments and correlation charts of Llandovery, Wenlock, Ludlow and Prídolí rocks throughout the British Isles. The concealed Silurian rocks of Eastern and Southern England are considered relatively briefly, as various Silurian successions with the international standard employed for the British Isles.
