1) European Countries Team
Leaders (CTL):
The Board wish
to have regular contacts with all team leaders. Sigrunn will soon contact
each CTL in order to improve communication between them and the Board
within the European Region. The Board will encourage the CTLs
to help increasing the number of AAPG members, publicizing the benefit
of the AAPG membership among young colleagues, organizing the Visiting
Geologists Programmes among other things. The European Region wish also
to motivate the CTLs to propose additional Hedberg Conferences
in Europe with the objective of potentially having an annual AAPG European
Region meeting in the future. The European Region will organize formal
meetings with CTLs during AAPG conferences to be held in Prague
in 2004 and in Paris in 2005, in order to meet "face to face" and define
our long term strategies as needs for Student Chapters and CTL committees
and so on. NB! Students get free AAPG memberships thanks to sponsorship
by Halliburton.
