AAPG’s Committee on Research and Committee on Statistics of Drilling sponsored several database projects over the years, and the derived 9-track tapes were converted to a friendlier microcomputer format(s). This CD-ROM offers complete database archives for three notable projects:
A. Exploratory Well File (CSDE), 1950-1989
B. Geothermal Survey of North America (GSNA), 1972
C. Correlation of Stratigraphic Units of North America (COSUNA)
Each database on the CD is presented three times: (1) original mainframe format, (2) broken into State- or Region-sizes groupings in spreadsheet format, and (3) converted into a simple DOS-based search format to be used strictly as a utility. See detail page.
