This is a huge free listing of job openings in all fields of the oil and gas industry with profiles of several of the employers. If you want a job with the U.S. Federal government go here. We found several just by putting in the word "geologist". The GeoJobs web site is an innovative showcase for worldwide employment opportunities in the geosciences. This is a free searchable database. GEOSCI-JOBS is for posts of employment opportunity announcements in earth science, including geology, geophysics, seismology, engineering geology, geological engineering, civil engineering, paleontology, petroleum geology, petroleum engineering, mineralogy, mine engineering, hydrology, earth science, oceanography, physical geography, geomorphology, and geoscience education. The Oil Directory - Job Openings The Oil Directory is a world wide market place for both buyers and sellers in the oil and gas industry. Click on the "employment" button and then select your job type. Here is another free searchable database. You can browse the listings or run a search, or you can sign up for a free email alert notification of job openings. This one is great for entry-level positions. We have recommended folks to this site only to have them find jobs within days of posting a resume. Using the frame buttons on the left, select the one called "Job Search". Then pick a country, or a job focus. This site allows you to chose from several US newspapers and then looks at their classified ad sections for job openings. This site searches the worldwide web for you and claims to have indexed over 220,000 job openings of all types. This well laid out site is fast and has many extras. Just scroll down to the search field and enter your key words. Here you can search for jobs with corporate America or the Federal government (great retirement plan!). Try the corporate America section and click on the "search" link. Then put in your job title. This one is fast and fun. Start by selecting your field in the category box and state, or country, in the location box. Now suppose you already know that ideal company you want to give the next 10 years of your life. Well, you can go to this popular site and search the Hoover's Job Bank. They joined forces with The Monster Board, but in my opinion, they do it better. In the category search box, we can choose "engineering-petroleum", don't select a state to search them all. Mountains West Consulting announces the creation of Science & Engineering Employment Services, an expansion of our popular GEOSCI-JOBS, MET-JOBS, GISRS-JOBS, and CIVENG-JOBS mail lists and related web site service. This is a subscription-based service. Dutch Onshore Offshore Recruitment This is a Dutch oil and gas recruiting firm. Alba is a recruitment and contracting company to the major Oil and Gas companies throughout the World from their head office in the Isle of Man, British Isles, with offices in Baku, Azerbaijan Kuwait City, Kuwait and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Before you decide to apply for that job, compare your current salary with what they are really offering. This site compares cost of living for various regions and tells you what salary would be required to match your current income/cost of living in different areas. |
