28 January, 2010
Who Should Attend
The program will benefit managers, geologists, geophysicists, engineers (drilling, completion, production and reservoir internal staff and key service providers), technicians, and others involved with modern exploitation technology applications.
Objectives
Course Content

The recent and ever expanding development of complex well technology has led to a shift change in Exploitation tactics in Oil and Gas development globally. With this comes the fundamental requirement for new skill sets and synergies within and between the G&G asset team professionals and well construction field supervisors and managers and key service providers. One aspects relates to the critical three dimensional design and placement of any complex well for oil and gas production. In order for the G&G staff to add value and insure success of any such application, these asset team professionals must have a proper understanding of, and be conversant in, realistic complex well 3-D construction capabilities and limitations, specifically in regards to the field realties of Directional Drilling (DD) and guidance. This 1-hour web-cast will arm the G&G asset team professionals with a core-competency understanding of these critical field realities, with direct reference to recent documented field experience and learnings

The live portion will be followed by a full day of independent study (not a live event). The one-hour live e-symposium can be accessed from any computer anywhere in the world using a high-speed internet connection. After the event is over, you will receive via email information about accessing the asynchronous segment (not live) which consists of your independent study materials, to be accessed and studied at any time. You will be able to email responses to the readings, along with your study question answers for CEU credit (if you sign up for the extended package).

Recording of original webinar, packet of independent study reading materials, PDF of original PowerPoint presentation by FTP download. (Original presentation date: January 28, 2010.) Some materials will also sent by e-mail.
