The Association of Oil, Gas and Renewable Energy Companies of Latin America and the Caribbean and the Colombian Natural Gas Association invite you to Arpel-Naturgas Week 2024: Driving just energy transitions for Latin America and the Caribbean, coming to Cartagena on April 8-12. The event combines the 7th Arpel Conference and 2024 Naturgas Conference, providing the unprecedented alignment of two successful events. For five days, international experts on energy issues, senior executives from the main oil and gas companies in the region and government authorities will discuss the global geopolitical perspective; the regional challenges of energy transitions; sustainable management for social and operational licenses; digital transformation, the future of work and the role natural gas for energy transitions. The event provides a unique opportunity collaboration across in the Latin America and the Caribbean’s oil, natural gas, and renewable energy sectors.

Optimizing Unconventional Reservoir Exploration/Development Using Petroleum Geochemistry

This course reviews how key questions are resolved through integration of geological and engineering data with molecular and isotopic analyses of oils, condensates, mud gases, produced gases, waters and rocks. Participants will learn how naturally occurring tracers present in each sample type can be used collectively to resolve key uncertainties during exploration/development of unconventional reservoirs.
