AAPG Europe is proud to announce a Regional Technical Workshop scheduled to take place on 18-19 September 2019. This ground-breaking event will occur in the wonderful city of Batumi in Georgia, located right at the coast where the mountain range of the Lesser Caucasus plunges beneath the Black Sea. Recent years have seen a rise in E&P activities in this region. In particular, Georgia just announced a tender for many onshore blocks and the much anticipated international offshore Georgia bid-round will also be announced this year. Our AAPG GTW will offer a unique opportunity to find out more about these ongoing projects, meet the government entities and regulating agencies. Moreover, this event will also serve for networking with participants from not only other interested E&P companies, but also from various academic institutions engaged in research in the broader region. The meeting programme will also include two one-day field trips, before and after the event, from Batumi to the nearby Rioni Basin and the Achara-Trialet thrust-fold belt.
