AAPG Unpad Student Chapter has many programs and activities, and one of them is TRAPSPOT. TRAPSPOT is a program that supports the development of its members. The name “TRAPSPOT” is an acronym for "Through a Petroleum System: National Seminar, Poster Contest, and Fieldtrip". Over the years, TRAPSPOT has progressed and developed. To aid in its development, new activities like a conference and debate competitions were added. One of the objectives of TRAPSPOT is to improve networking with other universities and professionals. To support that purpose, this program has attracted geoscience students and Professionals throughout Indonesia.

The series of activities in TRAPSPOT had different arrangements from year to year. The latest TRAPSPOT2019, started on 3 September 2019 with a field trip as a first activity. This trip included a visit to the site owned by oil and gas companies with the aim of introducing the professional world to participants. Furthermore, this activity aimed to build up the networking between AAPG Unpad Student Chapter with several oil and gas companies. The field trip was held at ExxonMobil Cepu Ltd. with the theme "All About Oil Processing Operations with ExxonMobil".

The main program of TRAPSPOT 2019, 20-24 October 2019, kicked off with a conference. This event welcomed students from various majors such as law, social, geology, and economy to speak about their perspectives regarding the hottest issue about oil and gas, and find solutions. The discussion was also guided by professionals. The theme of the conference is "Balancing Oil and Gas Production and Consumption from Multidisciplinary Outlooks Based on General Draft of National Energy". The outcome of this conference was declared in the form of conclusion that signed by the representatives of the conference members from each major.

The next TRAPSPOT activities featured competitions. These activities were carried out with the purpose to develop the competitive enthusiasm of the participants. The competitions that were conducted featured debates and posters. The debate competition was held to expand the critical thinking of geoscience students in responding to the hottest oil and gas issues, whereas the poster competition was created as a place to conduct research, which is one of the responsibilities of college students.

TRAPSPOT 2019 closed with the national seminar. This activity was open to the public and aimed to provide information about the hottest issues concerning oil and gas, especially about newest methods or latest technology.
