Bagus Priyanto began his career as Development Geologist at ConocoPhillips Indonesia, with assignments in subsurface mapping, reservoir characterization, depositional environment, sequence stratigraphy, petrophysical analysis, volumetric calculation, etc. Subsequently he was awarded a full scholarship for his M.Sc in Petroleum Geoscience at Chulalongkorn University from Chevron Thailand. His final research project was in rock physics analysis and seismic inversion in the Gulf of Thailand (utilizing 3D seismic, well logs, and core data). Bagus graduated with honors for both M.Sc and B.Eng. He is currently working for Statoil in Jakarta with a focus on deep water exploration of eastern Indonesia.
