The AAPG International Shale Plays GTW in Houston, 28-29 April featured dynamic presentations on established and emerging plays in different parts of the world, including China, Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia, Sumatra, Australia, Canada, the U.S., and more. The GTW was convened by Dr. Yitian Xiao, ExxonMobil. Session topics included case studies of plays, the impact of economics and technology, reservoir characterization, storage and reservoir dynamics, production challenges, and new technologies.
