About GEO:

Inaugurated in 1994, GEO is the largest and best attended technical event of its kind in the region. A world-class exhibition and an exceptional technical conference with presentations by key industry figures combine to offer exceptional networking, business and educational opportunities to all professionals with an interest in the future development of the Middle East's hydrocarbon resources.

The GEO conference is organised and developed by the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG).

Additionally, GEO is fully supported by the Dhahran Geoscience Society (DGS), the Bahrain Geoscience Society (BGS), the Geological Society of Oman (GSO), Emirates Society of Geoscientists (ESG) and the Qatar Geological Society in cooperation with a committee of national and international oil company representatives.

This combination of local and international expertise ensures that the programme is highly technical with leading edge science brought together from around the world mixed with local knowledge from the region's leading geoscientists.
