Jeff Johnson has over 35 years of industry experience and is currently a geophysical and T&D consultant. From 2000 to 2010 he worked for Schlumberger as Geology and Geophysics Curriculum Director for the SLB owned training provider NExT. In this role he developed geoscience courses and programs, managed training and competency assessment programs and taught over 70 classes in more than 25 countries worldwide.

Before joining Schlumberger/NExT, Jeff was General Manager of Amoco's Worldwide Geoscience Technology Organization from 1993 until his retirement from BPAmoco in late 1999. During his overall 24 years with Amoco, Jeff held management, leadership, and technical assignments in geophysical and geoscience research, international exploration projects, and Gulf of Mexico E&P projects. At various times during his Amoco career he served as Amoco's chief technical geophysicist, manager of geophysical research, and manager of international geophysical technical projects. He has degrees in geophysics from Stanford University and taught geophysics and seismology at Boston College prior to joining Amoco. His particular technology interests include E&P technology integration processes, seismic imaging, and seismic reservoir characterization. Jeff is a member of the SEG and EAGE.
