Natasha MacAdam

Natasha Morrison is standing for the position of secretary/editor for the House of Delegates (2020-22).

Morrison is a geophysicist at the Nova Scotia Department of Energy and Mines in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. She has past experience with Dalhousie University as a project manager for a multi-organization Gas Seepage Project, as a research and teaching assistant, and as a conference administrator for the 2018 Conjugate Margins Conference. In addition, she had student internships with Devon Energy, Husky, and Repsol.

Morrison has a bachelor’s degree in Earth Science/Geosciences and a master’s degree in source rock geochemistry/geophysics. She participated in the AAPG Imperial Barrel Award competition and she has received the Pengrowth Innovation Grant and the CSPG Undergraduate award.

Morrison has been a member of AAPG since 2013, starting when she was a member of the Dalhousie University AAPG Student Chapter, where she served as treasurer, president and secretary. She currently serves as the DU Student Chapter Liaison, and more recently as an HoD delegate and secretary/foreman of AAPG’s Canada Region.

In addition to her service to AAPG, Morrison is also affiliated with the Association for Women Geoscientists, the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists.
