Types of Membership
AAPG membership is based on your professional experience. We offer Full memberships for those with a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one year of professional experience working in the geosciences, Associate memberships for those with a bachelor’s degree of any discipline, and student memberships for those pursuing an undergraduate degree in the geosciences.
Full Membership
Full Membership is exclusive to those who have a bachelor’s degree (minimum) in the geological sciences, plus at least one year of industry or teaching experience in geoscience. This membership type gives you access to all the benefits of AAPG.
Associate Membership
Associate Membership is open to those who have obtained a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and whose employment is associated with the geological sciences. You’ll enjoy most of the benefits of AAPG with an Associate Membership.
Student Membership
Student Membership is open to all undergraduate and graduate students who are actively pursuing a degree in geology or a related field. Learn more about the perks of joining AAPG while furthering your education at the AAPG Student Center.
