We are updating the way you
read the AAPG Explorer so it works better
for how our members and subscribers
learn, work and stay connected today. As
part of our digital-first strategy, the new
AAPG.org is optimized for faster access,
better search, and a clean experience on
any device. The Explorer is also moving
into this digital-first direction so members
everywhere can read, listen and search past
and current issues in one place.

What This Means for You as an
AAPG Member or Explorer Subscriber
Starting in January, you will have access
to an upgraded digital Explorer experience
that brings all past and future issues
together in one place.
Your digital Explorer includes several
upgrades that members have asked for:
- Listen on the go. A built-in “read to
me” option so you can take the Explorer
with you in the car, on a hike, or while
working in the field - Search everything. Quickly find
articles by topic, region, people or discipline
across 55 years of content. - Instant access. Read the latest issue
the moment it is published. - A better browsing experience. Clean
layouts, mobile-friendly reading, and an
archive that goes far beyond a PDF library.
You will continue to receive the printed
Explorer through the end of our fiscal year
in June. Beginning next fiscal year, in July,
print will still be available as an optional
add-on for a small fee.
We would love your help in moving
to digital only earlier if you are ready.
Choosing digital helps us reduce paper use
and also lowers printing and postage costs
for AAPG as a nonprofit.
