Growing electricity demand is creating new opportunities across subsurface energy, mineral resources and power generation. This intensive workshop explores how natural gas, geothermal, hydrogen, uranium and critical minerals contribute to expanded, reliable and environmentally responsible electricity supply. Presentations, fireside chats, technology showcases and AI demonstrations connect resource development with grid needs, data centers, water management, storage and site selection. Participants will examine emerging technologies, incentives and regulatory considerations, and discuss practical pathways from subsurface resources to power.
What you will learn
- Assess electricity supply challenges and the role of natural gas and other subsurface resources.
- Explore geothermal development and opportunities to repurpose oil and gas assets.
- Connect hydrogen, uranium, lithium and critical minerals with power and infrastructure needs.
- Evaluate water, environmental, storage, site selection and regulatory considerations.
- Discuss new technologies for finding, developing, and optimizing energy and power
- Apply AI prompts to grid and behind the meter questions and resource planning.
Who should attend
Geoscientists, engineers, oil and gas operators, geothermal and mining professionals, utilities and cooperatives, data center planners, technology providers, investors, researchers and policy professionals working at the intersection of resources and electricity supply.

Program
The goal of this intensive one-day workshop is to learn about the current and projected demand for electricity and the importance of expanding the supply of natural resources that are inputs to the generation of electricity. In addition to understanding the new incentives and also legislation aimed at the increasing the supply of energy, the workshop will also focus on new techniques, technologies, and AI implementation strategies used in achieving the goal of expanded, stable, environmentally responsible power from subsurface energy.
