Canada has the world’s third-largest oil reserves after Venezuela and Saudi Arabia and is the world’s 4th largest oil producer behind the USA, Saudi Arabia and Russia, in addition to large amounts of gas resources from both conventional and unconventional reservoirs.
The country has recently embarked on a new energy strategy, setting up new energy policies at both the federal and provincial levels, and promoting more direct oil and gas exports to potential customers in both the Pacific basin and Atlantic basin.
Recent Shell acquisition of ARC Resources and other merger and acquisition moves are signifying a renewed level of investment interest in Canada’s oil and gas industry. This is particularly significant at a time when the pace of energy transition is slowing, and companies are pivoting back to their core strength of oil and gas.
Join industry experts for a discussion on the emerging investment opportunities shaping Canada’s energy future, the market forces driving activity, and what these trends could mean for companies, investors, and the broader global energy industry.
