Full Membership: You have a bachelor’s degree (minimum) in geological sciences, plus at least one year of industry or teaching experience in geoscience.

*This is the only membership type that participates in AAPG elections and leadership positions

Associate Membership: You have a bachelor’s degree (minimum) and your employment is associated with the geological sciences.

Student Membership: You are an undergraduate or graduate student actively pursuing a degree in geology or a related field.

AAPG is a global community, but with affiliated societies and local chapters, you’ll have opportunities to attend events and connect with members that are in your community. When you join, we’ll automatically assign you to an affiliated society based on your location, but you also have the option to choose your own preferred affiliated society.
