Like the geoscientists we serve, AAPG constantly strives to find new and innovative ways to operate, developing initiatives that prepare energy professionals to meet current and future challenges.
One of those initiatives is Energy Opportunities, a series of in-person conferences and virtual experiences connecting decisionmakers with the trends, tools, strategies and shaping the world’s energy future.
In-person conferences were held in Cartagena, Colombia in 2018; Mexico City in 2023; and Punta del Este, Uruguay in 2024, while a series of Executive Forums and the Energy Opportunities Virtual Conference took place online in 2020 and 2021.
In May 2026, the Energy Opportunities Conference comes to Brazil, a country with massive potential both in oil and gas and renewable energies.
The conference will be hosted by Petrobras, a proven leader, both regionally and globally, in exploration and production as well as low-carbon initiatives.
