SC 01: Modern Production Data Analysis for Unconventional Reservoirs (SPE)
Monday, 12 June 2023, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. | Denver, Colorado
Course Content
Who Should Attend
This course is intended for any petroleum engineers, geoscientists and technologists possessing a reasonably solid foundation in reservoir fundamentals, who wish to get more mileage out of their production data. This is an introductory-level RTA course. This instructor also offers advanced-level RTA courses.
Why Attend
Well performance data is the only widely available and continuous “window” we have into the reservoir. Understanding what that data is telling us is critical for making good decisions regarding field development strategy. The Rate Transient Analysis approach allows us to critically evaluate this data efficiently, within an objectives-based framework, thereby leaving no stone unturned and ensuring maximum probability of success. This course will provide RTA novices with the basic tools required to extract critical insight from production data.
Course Content
This course provides attendees with a comprehensive Rate Transient Analysis (RTA)- based methodology for analyzing well performance data, with specific focus on unconventional oil and gas. The course combines the use of several powerful techniques and promotes a practical, objectives-based approach to production data analysis.
