Unconventional gas has become a major part of the global energy industry and will be an integral part of the future world energy mix. It is crucial that we execute projects fast and efficiently as we develop these assets. The development using a multi-disciplines approach, with integrated workflows during appraisal and development phases of unconventional plays development, utilizing a life-cycle mindset, optimizing energy efficiency that have proven to be successful over the last 20 years will be critical to the continued success of unconventional gas development.

Josh Viets Chesapeake Energy

Josh Viets was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in February 2022. For the last 20 years, Mr. Viets has worked in operational positions of increasing importance at ConocoPhillips Company. He most recently served as Vice President, Delaware Basin and previously held leadership positions in operations, engineering, subsurface, and capital project across the ConocoPhillips portfolio. Mr. Viets earned a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Colorado School of Mines
