There is no doubt that the fifth edition of the Unconventional Resources Technology Conference (URTeC) held, 24-26 July 2017 in Austin, Texas was an overwhelming success. With the industry beginning to recover from a long downturn and the resulting stranglehold on unconventional reservoirs, the timing of this premier meeting on unconventional resource technology couldn’t have been better.

The AAPG Foundation recently announced the awarding of more than $100,000 to undergraduate students, geoscience student-led groups and seven military veterans, all part of its initiative of supporting geoscience education.

Workshop
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Tuesday, 21 February Wednesday, 22 February 2023, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

This workshop will be held Feb 21-22 in Oklahoma City, and will bring together industry practitioners, government and state agencies, nonprofit and academic institutions in a first of its kind event that will spark new ideas, motivate interdisciplinary and multi institutional collaboration and support the establishment of best practices for cleaning up and repurposing wells across the nation.
