The deadline for AAPG’s 2021 Honors and Awards’ nominations has been extended to February 18, 2020

Published
American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG)

The Honors and Awards programs provide a means for recognizing outstanding achievements and contributions by professional geologists, especially in the area of exploration for petroleum and energy mineral resources, and by other professionals who further the goals and objectives of the industry's science, profession, and this Association. The motivation toward scientific and professional achievement which such recognition stimulates is much to be desired.

Help us honor those who have made a difference in this industry with their achievements and contributions. Where would you be if this person or persons had not made contributions to our science, our profession or our Association? Show them your appreciation by nominating them today.

AAPG’s Advisory Council will review the nominations in June at the Annual Convention and Exhibition (ACE) Houston. The awards will be presented in May 2021 at the ACE Denver.

While you consider which exceptional AAPG member(s) deserves the honor and recognition of one of these awards, please review the nomination process.

Awards are open to non-member nominations as well. Please click here for award definitions, requirements and restrictions.

Anyone can submit a nomination, and we look forward to reviewing your submissions as we know AAPG boasts the best of the best in the industry. To know if candidates are eligible for nomination, be sure to check the "Details" link provided with each award.
