The integration of geological, geochemical, engineering and geophysical data is all part of the investigative process into fluid migration and accumulation. The AAPG Short Course on “The Petroleum System: An Investigative Method to Explore for Conventional and Unconventional Hydrocarbons” will emphasize the geological and geochemical parameters, and will start with how to identify, map and name a petroleum system.
