The second edition of the AAPG 'Carbonate Reservoirs of the Middle East & Their Future Challenges” GTW took place on 30 January – 1 February 2018 at the Crowne Plaza Yas Island Hotel, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. We received 155 attendees from 32 different companies and 14 different countries. This two-day workshop consisted of technical presentations, core display and poster presentations, followed by a third day offering two optional field trips.

Submission Deadline: 31st January 2018 You are invited to submit an abstract for the Research and Technology Petroleum Conference and Exhibition 2018 (RDPetro) which will be taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from the 13th – 15th May 2018. The conference will, for the first time, be a collaborative effort between AAPG, SEG, EAGE and SPE.
The second edition of the AAPG Stratigraphic Traps of the Middle East workshop took place on 11 – 13 December 2017 at the Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah hotel, Muscat, Oman. This year we had seventy two attendees from ten different countries.
The Field Seminar: Strike-Slip Tectonics, Tectono-Stratigraphy And Petroleum Systems Of The Levant Restraining Bend In Lebanon will take place in Beirut, Lebanon from 26-28 April 2018.
The fourth edition of the AAPG/EAGE 'Tight Reservoirs in the Middle East” GTW took place on 27 – 28 November 2018 at the Downtown Rotana Hotel, Manama, Bahrain. This year we had 80 attendees from ten different countries.

AAPG 'Decision Based Integrated Modeling” GTW took place from 30 October - 1 November 2017 at the Al Bandar Hotel, Shangri La Resort, Muscat, Oman. Unlike many workshops which focus on new technologies for doing “this” or “that”, this workshop focused on “doing the right thing” for the “right reasons”.
