Mexico's Energy Reform has resulted in dramatic new discoveries that are changing the face of the Gulf of Mexico.
Not only are new reserves being found in complex, previously poorly understood structures, dramatic breakthroughs in technology are occurring as companies use new methods to more efficiently process information, develop accurate models and to operate both safely and sustainably.
The American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) and the Mexican Association of Petroleum Geologists (AMGP) invite you to join us for Unlocking Mexico’s Offshore Potential, a geosciences technology workshop (GTW) highlighting opportunities and best practices for exploration and production in the Gulf of Mexico.
Join us for a deep dive into the new techniques, technologies and workflows that are making it possible to identify previously undetected reserves.
The 2-day workshop features a series of technical presentations, panels, roundtable discussions and networking opportunities with leaders and experts from Pemex, Mexico’s National Hydrocarbon Commission (CNH) and companies operating in Mexico and throughout the region.
GTW Mexico will be held at the Marquis Reforma, a five-star hotel along Paseo de la Reforma, one of Mexico city’s most famous avenues.
Located in Mexico City’s financial district, Marquis Reforma is close to major corporate offices, trendy shops and landmarks and historical attractions including Chapultepec Park and Torre Mayor.
Workshop activities will be held in the Emperatriz ballroom in the northwest area of the hotel at the lobby level.
Parking is available for workshop participants at a special rate of $US 8 per day. Hotel guests pay $US 5 per day.
The hotel has a limited number of rooms available at a special rate for GTW Mexico participants.
