Bathsheba, Barbados
Bathsheba

Bathsheba’s beautiful, mineral rich white sand beaches are said to be named for the milk that King David’s wife Bathsheba used to keep her skin soft. The beach is home to rock formations broken away from ancient coral reef that look like boulders on the shoreline.

Greenlands Shale Quarry
Greenlands Shale Quarry

Greenlands Shale Quarry (originally called Walker’s Beds), provides the opportunity to observe active oil seeps. The area includes several types of lithologies, including shale, sand beds several meters deep, levels of thin, rhythmically bedded hemipelagite, and faulting is common.
