The AAPG Latin America and Caribbean Region and the AAPG/AAPG Foundation’s Distinguished Lecture program welcome Kristin Bergmann, a geobiologist who reconstructs Earth’s ancient climate dynamics and surface environments at the Bergmann Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

She's bringing an important update on her research - both in the lab and from exotic locales - that is not only timely but crucial as to how Earth's ancient climate informs our understanding of climate dynamics today.

Bergmann's presentation, Reconstructing Earth’s Climate Dynamics at the Dawn of Animals, discusses findings in studies of carbonate, phosphatic and siliciclastic rocks and their sedimentological, petrographic and geochemical character as they relate to climatic conditions in Earth’s history.

Both the virtual talk and Q&A session will be presented live, at no cost, via your digital device and the Zoom registration confirmation code to access the webinar.

Webinar will be presented via Zoom on 10 August 2020 at 11:30am CDT (UTC-5)
