Abstract: "An East African outlook: past present & future exploration and its impact on regional value"

Over the last decade, exploration in East Africa has delivered significant hydrocarbon volumes, propelling the region into an exploration hotspot. The corporate landscape is changing as larger IOCs scramble to secure a position in the most exciting plays. With licensing rounds offering acreage, the governments are hoping to attract the best explorers. However, fiscal terms and regulatory systems are also evolving. This talk will discuss past present & future exploration in the region and what it takes to create value under the current industry cycle.
