A Field Trip to Bagan and Mount Popa in Myanmar

When the successful 2nd AAPG/EAGE/MGS Conference concluded in Yangon (19-20 November 2015), 11 delegates signed up for the optional Field Trip to Bagan and Mt Popa in Myanmar. They travelled over three days to study the  Yenangyat structure [a large Petroliferous, Thrusted Anticline], Thrust, Fold axis.  They also viewed the Oligocene and Miocene outcrops. the trip continued to Mt Popa to study Igneous Volcano and volcanic rocks.  This optional Field Trip was organised by the Myanmar Geosciences Society.
