The focus of the workshop is how to maximize the value of legacy assets by taking a look at every stage of the oil and gas well's life, including a big-picture look at field planning and optimization. As AAPG, we are particularly interested in how understanding the subsurface is critical in each life phase of the well, from exploration, drilling, completion, production, enhanced oil recovery, economics, environmental protection, legal (leasing, permitting and compliance), emissions and hazards detection and elimination, novel funding (carbon credits, tax credits, new types of funding).
