Ram R. Ratnakar is a Subject Matter Expert of Thermodynamics/PVT and a Researcher in R&D - Mathematics & Computation at Shell International Exploration and Production Inc.He is Editor-in-Chief of Upstream Oil & Gas Technology Journal and member of few SPE’s Advisory committees: Reservoir Technical Discipline, Data Science and Engineering Analytics, Geothermal, and Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage. He holds a B. Tech. degree from Indian Institute of technology Delhi, India and a PhD degree from University of Houston, USA, both in chemical engineering. He has authored more than 50 technical papers, served as peer reviewer for many prestigious journals and made significant contributions to research on various topics including multi-scale averaging, reactive transport, PVT/reservoir fluid characterization and CCUS and Hydrogen technologies.
