The upstream oil and gas industry has faced significant economic, geopolitical and public health challenges over the last year. Although there has been some recent industry recovery, cyclical volatility has always been present and expected to continue. This presentation revisits industry proven best practices for project and subsurface aspects of unconventional development with context on the value framework for our current industry environment. Key challenges and opportunities for effectively incorporating these practices. This presentation aims to provide thought provoking discussion and engagement on key aspects the industry needs to consider for unconventional evaluations and development moving forward.

Bio
PK Pande serves as Principal for Texas Intercontinental Energy Resources focused on advisory and value added strategic, operational projects for the upstream oil and gas industry. He has served as Chief Engineer for QEP Resources and Director, Reservoir Characterization and Technology with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. He held key reservoir and production engineering technical roles with Fina Oil and Chemical (Petrofina) and British Petroleum. His world class expertise encompasses unconventional resources, waterfloods, miscible gas / CO2 injection. He served as SPE Distinguished Lecturer 2012-2013 & 2015-2016 on "Shale Resources — A Full Life Cycle Integrated Approach"
