Global Exploration capital investment is at its lowest level in decades. Some agencies have even declared that the world will soon not need any new discoveries for our future energy needs.

However, global discovered resource volumes are falling sharply and some analysts predict that production from conventional projects will decline faster than demand in the next decade, creating a supply gap.

New hydrocarbons are now predominantly found in deep water plays, often with lower carbon footprint and more profitable than existing reserves or unconventional developments.

The ‘Future of Exploration’ panel will gather executives from some of the world’s most active explorers who will debate the future of an exciting activity that has delivered most of the world´s energy supply for the last century.
