The AAPG LACR Student-YP Leadership Summit is an annual event gathering representatives from the region’s student and young professional (YP) chapters to learn best practices, share experiences and develop leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
The 3- day program included professional development and soft skills presentations delivered by industry executives, leadership and communications training by professional coaches, as well as chapter snapshots delivered by participants, who shared lessons learned and best practices, providing their colleagues with ideas to implement in their own countries.
Leadership Summit participants are selected through a competitive process and are tasked with taking lessons learned from the summit back to the chapters they represent.
Each year, AAPG LACR Summits provide lasting benefits to participants and their chapters and help to create a cadre of professional leaders throughout the region.
