These newly integrated panel sessions will feature five-minute presentations from each speaker followed by a 20-minute moderated discussion between panelists regarding the session at hand and ending with an audience participation Q&A using the chat box feature.
Topics for capsule summaries and interactive discussions
include: plate tectonic reconstructions of the conjugate GOM
margins, crustal structure of the GOM from gravity inversion,
expansion of reservoir fairways in the U.S. and Mexican GOM,
application of detrital zircons to GOM stratigraphy, advances in
geophysical technologies (OBN processing, Wolfspar and lowfrequency
seismic, 4-D seismic/DAS), and GOM exploration shift
from “hunting for elephants” to “hunting for gazelles.”
