Gerald Bartz works with the Geospatial Technology Department and the Ellison Miles Geotechnology Institute, Brookhaven College, Dallas, Texas where he assists professionals in acquiring visual graphical techniques to express their geological ideas. Jerry received his B.S. in Chemistry and M.S. in Geology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. His work experience includes Research and Development with Phillips Petroleum, exploration with Coastal Oil and Gas and environmental remediation with ETAS Corporation. Throughout his 20 years as a petroleum, alternate energy and environmental geologist, he has incorporated remote sensing, subsurface chemistry and multi-layered mapping to economically rank regional areas of interest or contribute to the efficient operation of targeted resources. He has four patents for methods used to aid in the definition of geothermal, petroleum, and uranium resources.
