George Kakayor is presently working for the Shell Petroleum Company Nigeria as a, Principal Production Geologist with the responsibility of providing technical assurance for projects. Also, as a Technical Authority for the sign-off of technical, multidisciplinary and HSSE-critical deliverables (as well as geology). His background is in Sedimentology and Petroleum Geology (M. Phil Petroleum Geology, University of Aberdeen, Scotland). Experience in the Petroleum Industry spans over eighteen years in Africa and Europe. This comprises Static Reservoir modelling in integrated studies teams to support several FDPs (including global projects); Leading subsurface integrated team to deliver field development concept and Field Development Plan (FDP); Operations Geologist for the largest oil field in Shell Nigeria portfolio; Research and Development - worked as a Sedimentologist to organise and lead geology outcrop seminars to the Bookcliffs and Nigeria; Experienced in Capability development through coaching and teaching reservoir modelling modules in Shell Development & Learning Centre in Holland; conducting technical assurance and reviews.
