Yusak Setiawan is currently an Independent Geologist based in Jakarta Indonesia. Prior to that he was the Country Manager for Murphy Oil in Jakarta. He holds an S1 degree in Geology with honors from Institute of Technology, Bandung, Indonesia and MSc degree in Geology from the Colorado School of Mines, Golden, Colorado, USA. Prior to his tenure with Murphy, he worked with Unocal, Chevron, and Hess in various geographic locations such as Jakarta, Balikpapan, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Houston. His work has been both in exploration and development including deepwater projects. His main interest is using state-of-the-art technology for exploration. Yusak can speak English and Indonesian fluently and can also speak some Thai.
