Victor Ogunmola is a senior geoscientist with ExxonMobil in the United States. His experience cuts across the entire EDP cycle in different roles that include regional exploration, prospect generation and maturation, business and commercial process, geoscience computing and data integration, and vendor liaison for principal energy companies such as ExxonMobil, GPNL Nigeria, Statoil Norway and Halliburton in the United Kingdom and United States.

Ogunmola holds a bachelor’s from the Federal University of Technology, Nigeria and two master’s degrees from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria and University of Aberdeen, Scotland, respectively.

Ogunmola’s outstanding dedication to the education and mentoring the next generation of geoscientists is reflected in his service to AAPG’s Visiting Geoscientist program and as a member of the AAPG Foundation’s Grants-in-Aid and L. Austin Weeks Undergraduate Grant committees. As a past participant in the VGP, he has visited and delivered lectures at a number of universities in North America and Africa regions.
