Guilherme Arruda Sowek is currently a new ventures geologist evaluating bids from Brazil and other Latin American countries. His wide ranging technical background includes wellsite geology, formation evaluation, operations geology, play-based analysis, GIS, sedimentology petrophysics and seismic interpretation.
Sowek has five years’ experience in the exploration and production industry working for Repsol, where he began his career in the Repsol training programs in Madrid and Edinburgh.
He has applied his expertise as a wellsite geologist following the appraisal campaign in pre-salt wells and as an exploration geologist in the evaluation of regional studies in Brazilian basins.
Sowek earned a master’s degree in exploration geology, specializing in petroleum geoscience.
