Jesús Ochoa is a Principal Researcher at Statoil. His interests include the seismic geomorphologyof ancient ocean systems, play fairway analysis, stratigraphical and sedimentologic analysis for reservoir characterization, and static and dynamic modeling of reservoirs. He holds a B.S. degree in geologic engineering from the University of Los Andes Merida, Venezuela and an M.Sc. degree in earth sciences from Montana State University. He worked for PDVSA in Venezuela, but after the political crisis in 2003 went to work for IHRDC as a geologist and then to Exxon as an Engineer. He had a fellowship at Montana State University, completed in 2008, at which time he I joined Marathon Oil Corp working on such teams as; GOM, Kurdistan, Woodford Shale, Gabon, Cote d’ Ivore, and Equatorial Guinea
